Default 2011 Base Fog Light Install

Only pictures for now. Plenty of write-ups and how-to's just figured I would share my experience on the newer front bumper style.

Thanks. It was a quick install. Knowing what I know now; it would take less than half an hour to wire up the switch. Very easy install.

Exterior install < 1 Hr.
Interior install < 2 hr. (took a little longer to figure out the wiring)

Ten,

Looks great ! Thanks for posting your pix...

Showed the album to the Wife to convince her this was a mod we needed to do to "her" car

BTW...from your Picassa album, it looks like you had some competent "help" on the project !!

Not yet. I have done the anytime fog mod on my Taco, and it is very simple. I just need to fish around the relay panel and find the ignition power line.

I have gone through that exact process with this and other forums trying to convince the misses that we "need" to buy, paint, mod, etc. My mechanic's assistant is my buddy Duke

I bought the kit from another member here on R4W. It's one of the JDM kits off of eBay. Check this link out --> 2009 2010 TOYOTA RAV4 JDM OEM FOG LIGHTS KIT CLEAR 09 - eBay (item 280640000176 end time Mar-10-11 19:54:56 PST)

Hey Guys & Gals,

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm going to throw a bit of info about the kit and install when I get a few more minutes.

Best Regards,

Ten

Can you not edit existing posts anymore? Someone please enlighten me...

Anyways, a few thoughts on the parts and installation:

THE KIT came with the lights, bulbs, switch, wiring harnesses for lights and switch, mounting screws, and the black and chrome plastic bezels. I only used the lights, bulbs, bezels, and the switch. I didn't use one bit of either of the harnesses. It really only took three hours, and with instructions I could have done it in less than two. The fog lights add a nice touch to the front, and they really help with the near-field visibility while driving at night. I highly recommend giving it a try.
