Default AVS clear bug deflector

Hi! It's my first post to this forum. Just bought a 2011 pyrite mica 4 cylinder 4wd Rav 4 for my wife today and I am just wondering if any of you guys installed an AVS clear bug deflector on your Rav 4s. Did you have any issues with the alignment of the holes on the deflector where you attach the screws to the hood? I have one for my highlander and had issues with the mounting holes not aligning with the holes on the hood. Thanks! :cheers

I installed this Wade shield on my 2008 and the holes lined up just fine. Got it through Amazon:

I have the smoke colored Wade deflector on my 2011 Rav4. It lined up and installed super easy and has made it through numerous car washes intact. Doesn't seem to deflect bugs all that much, but it does look good...

How's the deflector now. I know you probably have this for a while now. I'm debating whether to go with clear or smoke. Is there any discoloration (yellowing?) or does the back part of the deflector get dirty and have to be removed for frequent washing? Thanks for your help. I will be picking up my Barcelona Red 2012 Rav4 this Thursday from the dealer. I know the clear one will look much better on a red vehicle but I just don't want to have to clean the deflector often.

I bought the clear Wade deflector thanks to JuneBug's helpful photos. I found the outer slots a bit of a tight reach, but we were still able to secure it properly. I address it with photos in this thread:

It still looks exactly the same, no yellowing or discoloration. There is a small star in the middle where it took a hit from a rock (that would have put a nice dent on the hood), so it's doing its job. I think it would look great on a Barcelona Red RAV4.
