Default FIAMM El Grande - Twin Horns

I did the El Grande upgrade to my existing horns over the weekend, very nice upgrade by the way, worth every penny.

But....I used the existing horn brackets, so one of my newer horns is pointed down and the other pointed up. This is due to the tight space limitations from the bracket to the front grill, I could not move or twist the new horn very much and this was the best way for them to fit.

It did not bother me at first but I got to thinking today (was raining today, btw) and I am a little worried that the one pointed up is right next to the front grill and will get water in it and will not be able to drain out...is this a valid concern....?

Sorry no pics yet but I hope I make sense...?

I would be concerned about getting water in it.

Yeah I am going to need to get back in there and move this down some how.

Did other people have the same problem?

How did you mount the horn, were you able to get both horns pointing down?

And yes no more toot toot...

I was thinking of changing to/adding a Hella eventually. I'm too used to being heard when I use my horn. I'm not familiar with these, though. Is there a sound file or YouTube available that demonstrates their sound?

I think I was the first on here to install the El Grande horns. But on the 2008 and earlier, the horns are spaced farther apart evenly behind the grille. These pictures show the difference:

That bottom pic shows the limited space I have with the grill on. It is very tight. I really hate to remove the entire front end to resolve this problem, argh!

Also on the bottom pic, the horn on the right is the one that I can not spin or twist. The horn is pointed up and right against the grill, no room what so ever.

I am interested in what others here that have done to handle and place these horns?

How did your horns fit? Are they both pointing down?

Help!....

Thanks JB for the pics!!
