Hopefully that's just photo-shopped! The RAV4's body looks outdated enough as it is!

I've always hated fender skirts, but this has elevated my hatred to extreme loathing!

Got original skirts on my pristine '58 Bug, too.
Properly made they reduce drag. So would full-moon caps. Wanna see some for real?

SEE. That is why you should not use drugs, I grew up with fender skirts but cars were very long and low back then. Sometimes they used "Bubble skirts" on a car so low the
skirt would sometimes touch the pavement going up a driveway at the local coffee drive-in. The Drive in's had car hop girls and the guys would customize there cars and dive through a few times then get another $0.10 coffee and sit in there cars and watch the other cars going through. Oh we thought that was so cool. You guys are building life long memories in a wonderful hobby so enjoy now and God Bless, Ted 08 RAV V6 4wd Ltd Bliz. Pearl Wht./ Ash 34k 23,8mpg av. Fun, No Skirts! First car at 16 years old: four year old 1954 Chevrolet, Jet Black and white top convertible WITH SKIRTS!! In line 6 cyl with a two speed Power Glide transmission with shift lever on the steering column (in the tree) Bench front and rear seat so your girlfriend could sit next to you. I added seat belts and a chrome strip on the hood and removed the hood ornimate and took all the teeth out of the grill so it was a long horizontal bar. 0 to 60mph about 18 seconds, gas $0.23 a gallon. it rusted out when it turned 8 years old, leaked oil like mad, Reverse gear stripped out so it didn't work. It cost me $800 when i got it and paid cash, my Dad's rule. Last edited by Tedbird; 09-10-2012 at 10:29 PM. Reason: added stull |

My first car, 49 Ford. Paid $35 for it. No skirts. Gave it to my next-younger brother when I enlisted in-service. He chopped the top then had it towed away because he got in over his head and was too young to drive anyway.
