My v6 Rav4
2011 has rust inside the door (driver door).... :surprise
other door are ok...
what do you think about that ?
see the dealer ?
unscrew the screw and fix it myself ?
bear in mind that im more HANDSOME than HANDY

Is there some kind of warranty on this kind of damage?
Otherwise, since it is in area which is not very visible:
Sand down, apply rust converter (or use POR-15), primer, spray paint colour matched paint

Also check the weather strip that should be against the window to keep water out.

the dealer told me its not cover under warranty
Can i just remove the screw to see what the domage ?
or the screw is attatch to something else ???

No worries. Just spray some of your favourite anti-rust oil spray e.g. Krown, Corrosion Free, ... Do the same at all 5 doors, once a year.

I talk to some poeple and i my try this ... than paint it black (as Jagger once told me ...)

No need to make a project out of it when a couple of drops of any kind of oil will penetrate and stop the rust for years.

Take my word and Dr. Dyno's for it. I love a painting project. This is one is not worth the effort.
