Replace Stock Speaker with ?

I read some posts on different dashes. Well, i would like to do it later and retain the stock HU.

What speakers would you guys suggest? Am open to installing dynamat and put the new speakers & tweeters. Would buy the aftermarket HU later.

You should put an amp in as well with the new speakers or your gonna be disappointed. Check out Apine S or R type, components in the front, coax in the rear. Good reviews, and price. I've personally heard them at my local pro-audio shop and I will be upgrading my JBL system minus the HU with a PDX-5 amp and R type speakers for the doors as a new sub has already been installed.

Get subs first and set the bass level in your car to 0 and set your subs how you like. If you like a lot of bass, get 10". If not, get 6" or 8" (which is more in the normal range). Then think about upgrading speakers after.

Cars, snowboarding, house modding.

I went along with replacing the head unit first based on some readings on this forum.
I found out it solved the bass problem for me. But I now started to dislike the interface of that Pioneer FH-P8000BT cause it does not have direct push buton for radio stations.

One day I'm going to change it.

Well, i was just looking at a quick mod. I replaced the stock on my Civic with some Infiniti speakers and they were hell of a diff. Sure, i do want to get an amp and an external bass source. However, i was wondering if someone did achieve an acceptable sound quality with just the speaker change.

Thanks for your suggestions. Keep 'em coming :thumbup

These worked well for me:

Put the word "speakers" into search and you'll get page after page of information.

Thank You. Did the tweeters in the rear make a big difference?

Not drastically but the highs are much more crisp and clear, prior they were kinda muddy and tinny. It took some time for all to break in... a month or two. The overall sound is definitely better and more full. Bass is considerably better. I'm pleased with the speaker upgrade considering I haven't had the other items installed yet.
The ears are willing but the wallet is weak.

Any pic of the wiring between the rear speakers and the rear tweeter? And, is the crossover unit separate? Where did u fit it?

The passive crossover was part of the three piece set in the linked picture above. Screwing in a light bulb is the extent of my skills, so all was professionally installed. I didn't make it clear but the front speakers were replaced with the same setup. The original pair of tweeters were replaced with the new ones in the original location. Due to the size difference in the OEM's and the new speakers adapters had to be fashioned from plywood.
