New to RAV 4. A 2011 Sport SAP. How do you change C to F, liters per 100 km to MPG and back to metric? Thanks for the help.
The book does not show, or I could not find this info. |

The only way to do it is by replacing the instrument cluster. I kid you not.

No kidding. I rented a Chevy HHR and you could push a button and go from English to Metric instantly. That would have been handy on my trip to Canada.

At least Toyota could include a calculator with each vehicle - but that would be an ongoing, non-amortised cost. A production fix actually would be less expensive for Toyota.

Canada is really messed up with metric, in 2011 we buy limber both English and metric 2 x 4, sheet goods metric, most speedometer are in both, buying groceries is a gamble both lbs and grams.
Seeing metric on a dash board is OK but to make sense of it MPG is what I grew up with, converting is a mind set and a calculator makes it easier, but the book shows by way of pictures both English and Metric. Thanks for the heads up! |

Maybe Toyota wants to avoid this? Causing communication loss to the driver?
