Used cheap Scosche unit on ebay, like that
Scosche Bluetooth Car Kit BFTAK BlueFusion Hands Free For Toyota 04 and Up | eBay
My RAV4 2010 is not in compatibility list, maybe thats why I had some problems with install.
Removed clips and radio using a screwdriver (added a duck tape not to scratch it).
After I plugged all in, I was able to pair my phone, but unfortunately my radio lost sound and appeared muted, even on FM. After a lot of thinking, I decided that Scosche somehow signals a 'mute' to head unit. I identified a power wires to Scosche, and started to remove one-by-one other wires from satellite harness. This strategy lead me to success, in the end sound re-appear back without loosing any of bluetooth functions.
Total installation time: 30 minutes... plus 2 hours to find correct wire to cut.
It was really hard to remove a wire from harness using a needle. Especially the one I was searching for, was the last one left
. Anyway if you do not have sound after installation, cut blue wire at the corner of harness. (There are 2 blue wires in the harness).
Total cost to have a factory bluetooth: 35$
Now I want to install a radio control buttons to steering wheel. Unfortunately price of 200$ for it is much more then I want to spend on piece of plastic
