How to upgrade to navigation?

I just bought an 09 base model and am looking to upgrade it from the stock unit to navigation. It's been quite a while since I've done anything with car stereos and am curious what the process entails. I would most likely take it to an installer unless the process is relatively painless. Could someone please enlighten me? Mighty nice place y'all have around here...

Thanks for the info. Is it really that simple? Is there nothing more than the plug and play of the unit?

On another note, are there any suggestions on which unit to get and from where?

it is very easy. It now takes me under 3 minutes to replace a unit in the RAV!!!
just be a little careful to remove the trims around the radio.
My chinese unit (see my album), Henhao brand, did not need a trim kit. Since I have a non-jbl radio, i did not need any extra harness. My Henhao unit also has all the programming for my Steering wheel buttons (an upgrade that I did). Many units required extra kits to get the SW buttons to work.

Note: it is not a perfect unit but works for me.

Edit: Price was $320 including shipping and 8GB microSD card for map.

I'm also seeing the units listed below. I'm not going for an audiophile quality install (been there done that), just functionality. Does anyone have experience with these?
