Max Liner (Kramer accessories) - Rav 4.3

I just purchased these MAXliners, front and rear, for my 2008 RAV from Ebay. I got ther gray colour since my carpets are gray.

MAXFLOORMAT Floor Mats for Toyota RAV4 (2006 - 2011)

The material is harder than I expected. I was expecting a heavy, thick rubber liner. Think of it as molded winter boot tray!

The front liners fit perfectly. I decided to not make holes in the liner for the hooks. They just don't move. Also, according to me, making holes in the liner will not let the liner collect more than 1/4 inch of slush; kind of defeats the purpose of the liner.

I did not take off the hooks since I will never step on them and damage them. I wish the driver's foot rest were completely covered. In that respect, they have the same coverage as the WeatherTech Digifit liners.

The rear liner is a little tighter to fit. After a few minutes of hand pressing, it did align correctly. However when I move the front seats back, the seat rub the rear liner. Since my wife and I adjust the seats a least twice a day, I am not sure what the long term effects will be on the rear liners.

I find that it will be hard to take out the liners to get rid of all the winter slush, unlike my current Michelin mats. They have some flex but I will be awkward to get the liner off without some minor twisting. So I bought a 1.5 gallon wet/dry vac to help. This way, my wife can share this task too

Paid $130 for front and rear liners. Wife is coming back from Dominican Republic today. We'll see what she thinks.

My initial rating is :
Front Driver liner: 4.0
Front Passenger liner: 4.5
Rear Liner: 4.0

Is that including shipping to Canada? What about duty, taxes, and fees? I was looking at these as well because they are quite a bit cheaper than the Weathertechs. I bought Weathertechs for my 2010 Civic a few years back and they were $200 including shipping.

They look like almost perfect copies of the Weathertech liners.

Wife is pleased with the liners.
The rear liners could have been made to follow the contour more towards back at the corners. I am sure my kids will find a way to get some snow in there.

I just picked them up across the US border (1 hr away) and installed them before driving back.... to make sure they fit. I think just shipping would have been $30.

Too much for me I can't afford that

I guess it is

$150 Price for whole set, $48 shipping + 13% tax

Is there a place where you can collect items purchased in USA on the US side, may be near Sarnia? Might be worth the trip if you plan to buy some other other stuff too. You could order them online, wait for everything to be shipped and then go collect.

Boxing Day is not far you know

I still think the WeatherTechs follow the contours better, especially for the rear mats but for the price difference I would go again with the Max liner. However they are made in Bangkok, not USA, if that matters.

I have put them to good use. Had to vacuum the water only once this winter.

I went though my first winter. My must have driven 2000 km.

Just like the Weathertechs, the foot rest is not completely covered and salty water made it's way down the footrest on the the carpet. I don't understand why WeatherTech and Max Liner will not cover that part.

The part where the right heal touches the drivers liner is kind of stained with mud. Hard to explain. I washed it with a rag and soap and it did not go away. May be I need to use a soft brush. I really think it is stained.

The driver's mat and rear mats(used my 5 and 7 year old) are very scratched. The scratches look white on the grey liner.

Overall, after 4 months of use, the liner look they are 10 years old !!!
