At last I got mine Myron & Davis OEM-style DVD/GPS installed today.
All features seem to be working as advertized and over all I am please with the unit. However, there is one issue that I am dealing with it right now. Backlight for all function keys do not get illuminate when I turn the head lights on. They do briefly come on when I 1st start the unit, but goes off few seconds later and stay off even if I turn on my head lights. I asked the installer and he replied the unit install should be plug_and_play and he is not sure why it is not working and why he needs to make changes to harness to make it work. Does anyone have any idea how to trouble shot and fix this? I called Myron&Davis tech support, they told me that I might need to jump or by pass some wires from the harness to troubleshoot this. Does anyone had that issue and/or know the fix, if so, please share it. Thanks in advance.

Do a search on this website on head units.. there are some threads on the wireing harness and what the different wires go to. Junbug may be able to help, I think he posted some somewhere. Once you figure that out, it should not be too hard to get the right wires hooked up.. You have a 2007 Limited so I would think the wireing harness should match. You could send the wireing diagram to M&D and ask them why it doesn't work.

If he told you he could install it, he is responsible for installing it, or he should give you your money back. He should be familiar with this sort of thing, it happens all the time.

Member HIBHITX had the same issue with his Henhao unit.
Henhao H1014 OEM-style DVD/GPS Official Thread May be you could splice into the LOCK or HAZARD buttons to tap the power; these buttons only light up when the headlights are on.

I am taking the car back this evening, let see if he can fix the issue without frying the unit.

No need to get power from headlight. It is a small load of current. Just tap one of the wires either on the LOCK button or the HAZARD button.
Your intaller has to remove those two side trims anyway to access the radio. I just tapped into those wires last week. It's a 10 minute job. If he cannot do even that, then he is not qualified to call himself an installer! If you want to tap some other wires, give him the RAV4 electrical diagrams, let him do the reading BEFORE you head to his place. Hopefully he knows how to read electrical diagrams! You can access the electrical diagrams here

It's just an illumination wire we're talking about, right? (typically orange or orange/white)
Did this unit's harness not have one? Seems odd...
