Ok installing clarion head unit with navi, Bluetooth, video, and monitors.. i have the head unit in with the new dash trim and navi set up..looking for infomation on getting the monitors installed..bought loaded headrests (monitors installed and ready to go) but cant seam to find information on running the connection leads..the leads come down the inside of the support tubes.
Does anyone know how to run a small cable down the inside of the seat? I have tried useing a wire coat hanger to get to the bottom but feels like the plastic on the back of the seat is preventing me from getting to the bottom. Thoughts? |

You need to remove the back board of the seat, there are 2 screws that are at the bottom that hold it into place, once you remove those you will have more access. When you get the word thru the seat you need to run them under the floor carpet to the floor trim that runs under the door

Yeah, I guess you could just get the accessory power from the same wire as the head unit. You might as well run a wire to there since you are already running the video wire. I decided not to get any monitors for the rear and instead bought my little guy a Nexus 7 with a headrest stand, the nexus 7 is loaded with movies and has Bluetooth so I just play the audio thru the head unit or Bluetooth headphones when he wants to watch.

Nice..we picked up a clarion with duel zones so they should beable to watch a movie in the back and we can listen to music up front..at least thats how we understand it at this point..gonna run power leads tomarrow then the only thing left is the back up cam and rear speakers..then maybe an amp in a couple months...but that is up in the air at the moment..you wouldn't by chance know where the back-up lead connection would be would you?
