Default A Tekkie Christmas

Thanks to my very sweet wife, I, and the Rav, have had a very tekkie holiday season. Between my birthday and Christmas, we received a new Garmin GPS, a SiriusXM radio, and a new set of Polk Audio DXi 650 speakers on all four doors. Sounds a LOT better, that is for sure! Oh, and a Motorola Roadster 2 for improved Bluetooth functionality with my smartphone. Love the fact that I can now listen to, and dictate text messages on the fly!

I hope that all of you have had a safe and happy holiday season! Happy New Year!

Sounds great, Bob! My sweet wife bought me a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, which is an Android tablet similar to an iPad. The first thing I installed was the Torque app, which connects to the OBDII port in the RAV for diagnostics. And of course the second thing I installed was Angry Birds Star Wars!!

A couple of years ago I was disappointed to be given a few pairs of thick wool socks for Christmas. After spending a few winter days in Ontario, I developed a much greater appreciation for them!! Of course, I haven't worn them since....

Excellent! Let me know how you like it. I've been looking at picking up a tablet. My wife's Mini iPad is supposed to arrive soon. I'm looking at the Android versions. Most likely a 7" version. I just don't know how much I would really like the bulk of a larger tablet. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Google Nexus 7.

You're leaning in the right direction, I own one and there's nothing better than pure android.

I too have the Nexus 7 and love it! the only issue I have with it is that the Android version is so new not all apps are compatible. Most are, just not all. But again... that's the way I'd lean too.
