Angry Front left speaker only works with aux

I always plug in my iphone 5 through the aux port, i have an aux cable that works and when i plug in my phone music only plays from the drivers side speaker. I played with the settings of the speajers and when the radio or a cd play, music plays from all speakers. The aux cord is properly placed on the car and phone. I dont know what to do, its very annoying having music play from on speaker and the quality of the music is very low.

Someone please help!

Most likely it's the cable. Check the cable plugs; it should be stereo on both ends (two or more bands on the metal plug). If you can, try using the cable to connect to a different output device (eg. home AV receiver or external speakers). If this works, then it could be a fault in the aux jack or the internal connection to the stereo.

Agreed it is probably the cable, though it could be the jack or a piece of crap in the jack. If you are using a cable with a 1/8" stereo plug on each end there will be 3 metal sections separated by 2 insulating sections. If you plug the cable into the aux jack and touch the 2 bands closest to the tip on the other end, the 60 Hz hum from power lines should be heard on the speaker associated with the band(s) you are touching. Make sure the volume is turned down to avoid damage to the speakers if you have an external amp. the stock HU does not have enough power to blow it's own nose.

Your jack is not working or there is some issue with cable. Check it
