Hello,
I am hearing a knocking noise on the driver side front wheel ONLY WHEN ON ROUGH ROADS (rocky roads), never while driving in the city.
I initially thought it could have been the suspension, but after reading threads I started thinking it could be the ball joint.
I did look at videos on how to check the ball joint (I lifted the car and pried the wheel a bit) but could not really tell.
I did a visual inspection and attached three pictures to this thread. What I find "strange" is that the potential offender had grease all around it, while the passenger side (also photographed and attached) seemed "clean".
I hope I took a picture of the actual ball joints, hehe.
Can anybody help me figuring out whether I need a new ball joint? Does not seem a difficult procedure to DIY.
