My 2009 V6 Limited 4x4 has been pretty reliable other than the Diff Coupler replaced under the extended secret warranty at 190,000kms. I now have 212,000kms so I can't complain but my water pump is definitely noisy and has been for a few months now (I know I'm playing with fire). No leaks yet but thinking I should bring it in soon, just wondering approximately what my Canadian friends have paid for replacement at the dealer?
Sorry to boost this old thread but I've still been ignoring the bearing noise and now I'm at 225,000kms and it's definitely there.
Got a quote from the local independent Toyota specialist shop and its $450 labour, $150 part, and $50 for coolant so ~$650 with them. Has anyone paid out of pocket at their dealer and know the cost?
yup, I was $700ish just last year, 118K miles. Had them replace serpentine belt at same time, figured while they're up in there made sense. Believe my mechanic took the front-tire-off approach.
