For your information

I had to replace a battery in my Rav. I desided to measured current from the new battery when keys were not in ignition lock. I have a scangaugeII attached and a new HENHAO type navigation installed. the ammeter shows around .500A within first 1 minute after the ammeter is connected, then current drops to 120ma for next minute or two (scangauge connectionis happening), and then drops to 17ma and stays there. This is, I guess, so called parasitic current in my car.

What you're measuring is a pretty normal stepdown in draw as various electronics are going to sleep. Most of the 17ma is keep-alive power for clock circuits and live modules such as FOB receivers.
