On my brand new v6 Limited the slip indicator light has come on 2-3 times, each time while I was stopped at a traffic light. The only thing I think was common to the occurrences was that I might have been moving in the seat. Any thoughts? (I thought the "slip" was for the car, not for me! )
Are you sure it wasnt the hill assit light? If you are at a full stop, press down hard on the brake for a couple seconds, and it will beep. When you release the brake, it will hold for a split second while your foot moves from the brake to the gas, so your car does not roll backward on a steep hill.
You are correct. I was with my wife last night when she showed the "problem" and she was pressing on the brake pedal to move around in the seat. The symbol (showing the vehicle with squiggly lines at the wheels) looks like one for a slippery road/traction control more than one for hill assist, and the manual calls the symbol the "slip light indicator" so this is a little confusing.
