Air Filter for 2007 RAV4

Can someone please tell me where the air filter is located on a 2007 RAV4. I can not find it in the manual. Thanks.

Try the engine compartment instead!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

In a large black box located behind the battery........assuming you are meaning the engine filter. Cabin air filter is behind the glovebox.

Yes, it's under the hood right behind the battery. Undo the clips on that black plastic box and the filter is right there. There is also a cabin air filter behind the lower glove box.

Is there a DIY on how to remove the cabin air filter?

The engine air filter is more involved than most. I had to take the whole air induction system apart to change it. There just isn't enough room to remove and replace it just by unclipping the air box.

Well, I replaced the air filter without taking apart whole air induction. This is what I did.

1. Open the two clips.
2. Pull the cover little bit - This release the cover.
3. The pipe connected to throttle body has rubber connection in the middle which allow enough space to slide in the air filter.

I changed air filter this way. Anybody has different method?
