You changed your original post so much that my original answer no longer made any sense, so I've deleted it.

It's actually my sister's, but I'm the family wrench.

Yeah sorry about that... I would hate for somebody to try that and possibly fry their ECM. Since it was not beneficial info for the forum, I changed it.

Pulled coil on cylinder 6 and removed spark plug. Disconnected wire to fuel pump #6. Had the coil in my hand with the spark plug attached as the car was cranked. I didn't see spark, but I think it was a bad ground i was using. I did see spark for a second so coil is at least somewhat good. Swapped coil with the one next to it, so if a code comes up, it will be a different one. Cleared Check Engine light by removing negative battery cable and depressing my brake pedal.

Warmed up Rav, no codes. Test drove 5 miles with some heavy acceleration. No codes yet.

About to run some errands. I'll update later.

Check Engine is back. Codes all same except P0355 instead of P0356 since I swapped coils with the one next to it... definitely the coil.

Bought online for $35 shipped ground. Advanced Auto would be $57 plus tax, Autozone $119 plus tax.

The coils are attached with one cable connector and one bolt. Super easy to do this. I will have the new coil in place inside 3 minutes time once it comes in.

This is out of place, but this needs to be reiterated for newbs like myself... I never removed my engine cover before. It pulls off by lifting straight up. Watch for the 3 rubber inserts falling out of the grove... lift slow.

Wow, that's a great price for the coil--where did you order from? Glad to hear you got it sorted out. I've pulled my engine cover a few times just to clean it. Pops off and back on quite easily.

Edit: This part failed!!!!

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/

The coil was too tight a fit, so i had to file down the plastic a bit. It seems to be fine though. I went for a test drive and no check engine light. I'll post after a good break in.
