How many miles will Mobil 1 oil run?

Just changed the oil and filter on my V6 RAV4.
The oil I used is fully synthetic Mobil 1 5w30.
I wonder how many miles can I run on it before I change it again.
5,000?
7,000?
10,000?

I'm not sure what kind of driving you do, but if it's mainly hwy you should be fine with every 10k. With mix driving 7k should be fine.

There are far too many factors to just spit out a figure. If you are serious about finding out when to change oil & filter send at least three samples to a lab for analysis. It is called trending and they can advise you , with your particular distances, temperatures, and habits, as to an oil change interval.

5,000 is a no brainer with any oil. 7,000 is very likely. 10,000 is also likely (or longer) but you MUST have backup from a lab to do so safely.

Keep in mind that the interval for warranty is 6 months or 5,000 miles regardless of what oil you use. You didn't state what year model you have or if it is in warranty or not, that doesn't help at all.

I'm on 42k miles now, out of warranty.
I'm doing 90% highway driving, so I guess will change it at 50k next time.
Thanks to all for inputs!

You can always over change your oil but you should never under change it. With that in mind, you can gauge how much risk you're willing to take but I change oil every 10,000 miles and I'm running full synth from Pennzoil.

Yeah, I would change it at 5000 miles or 6 months which ever comes first-at least until your warranty runs out.

Hmm... Indeed.
How will I prove to Toyota that I did change the oil myself? Should I keep the receipt from Walmart that proves I bought the oil? It proves I bought the oil, doesn't prove I changed it.

Yes ,I would also write it down in a log showing the date and mileage that you changed the oil. If you have reciepts from Walmart and a log- I think that would be enough for any warranty issue.
