Smile noises from rear of 2009 RAV4

We have a used 2009 RAV4, with 29,312 miles on it, 4 wheel drive, 4 cyl engine.

I am getting a lot of moans, groans, slight poping sounds from the rear suspension.

Has anybody else experienced any such noises, or is it just the nature of the RAV4?

THANKS, Dave

Check the rear shocks for leakage. Both of mine were leaking and replaced under warranty.
Although there were no noises associated with them going bad, it's worth a look.

I say....pay attention boy!

Looks like the left rear shock is leaking. I'll see if dealer will replace it, or maybe both of them.

THANKS RTexasF

Dealer replaced rear shock & has ordered new rear sway bar bushings.

Amazed that they replaced only one shock but them's the rules! Keep an eye on the other one. The new bushings should quell the noise.
