Does anyone have pictures of the exact spots I can use? I don't have a hitch, need to lift the rear for various projects, but am seeing too much conflicting info

"Positioning a floor jack" is an item in the table of contents of your Owner's Manual. It is page 350 in mine.

My factory hitch receiver blocks the jack point. There is a large flat square area on hitch receiver. I am concerned that it may slide off the floor jack because there are no groovesImageUploadedByAutoguide1353185792.709499.jpg
You can see it in the center of the picture Sent from my iPhone using AutoGuide.com App |

To the OP, I asked a similar question in the spring....Alternate Jack Positions for the 4.3......as I don't like the factory ones. My small 2 ton jack won't reach the center front and center rear points, but even if it did...they look so flimsy....
Re the factory rocker panel positions, have you ever seen an older vehicle that has used these positions repeatedly.....they're all bent and rusted...at least in the snow belt they are.... For the rear: I used a piece of plywood about 1 foot sq. between my jack and the heavy rear control arm (for lack of the correct name). It only lifts one corner, but if changing tires, it only takes a few pumps to get the tire off the ground.... I'm still looking for some "good" alternate front positions..... My 4.1 and 4.2 were so much easier to lift.....

I used the factory jack point this past weekend and it works just fine, I have a fairly large floor jack so I was able to get it high enough to put the car on stands using the side jack points
