I'm just past 100,000 miles on my 06 V6 RAV4, and just days after replacing all the shocks and struts, I now have at least one dead TPMS unit. I did some reading and apparently they're only expected to last 5-10 years or about 100,000 miles. Getting all of the modules replaced (because the modules are designed to not permit battery replacement) is going to be about $300 if I have to replace them all (and that's Costco pricing with aftermarket modules). Having just spent a little over $750 on the suspension, I'm wondering "what's likely to go next?" Can I do these things and expect at least a few more years of smooth sailing, or is the RAV getting ready to self-destruct? Until the suspension went out, the RAV hadn't needed anything other than front brake pads and regular PM (oil, filters, wiper blades, etc.).

If you do a search, there lots of mods showing how to disable the TPMS. You can always replace them and enable back when you are flush with cash, or find a sale.
