Smile Upgrade rims

Hi, I am new in this rav4 forum. I recently I bought a new rav4 2012 base model and I are planning to change the base rims & wheels. I will like some suggestion or feedback on this project. Thanks a lot.

Do the math on the current tire diameter and try to stay close to that number when choosing new tires. Choosing wheels is mostly a personal thing.....what u like, others may not. Obviously wheels have to fit (bolt-up properly) but after that, wheels are basically a "looks" thing.

You will want to know why you are changing the wheels ("rims"). If you like the look of 19 or 20 inch wheels, understand that you will be giving up some ride comfort, and that your tires and wheels will be more subject to pothole damage.

It was not clear if you planned to change tires; that '&' made me wonder.

Are you getting 4 or 5 rims? You would need 5 if you plan to include the spare in tire rotation. Also, if replacing the spare, make sure it fits in the spare tire cover or you might need to leave it home.

Wheels and rims are the same thing. Do you plan to go with larger wheels AND tires or same size wheels and remount the tires?

You'll want wheels with a 5X114.3 mm bolt circle. The wheels are hubcentric and uses a 60.1 mm center bore. The Rav uses a "high offset" wheel, in the +35 range. Also, be careful as some rims may not clear the brake calipers, which apparently stick more more than average.

Rim = Metal circular piece inside the tire area.
Wheel = Tires
I know what you mean by this....

Suggestion - Go to an online site like Tire Rack and pick the Rim/Wheels you want.

Feedback - Go with the cheapest for both. Tires - use the tire comparison Tirerack has to buy the cheapest/best performing tire.
