Nope. The 2GR-FSE has never been offered in a RAV4.

I appreciate the correction. Nonetheless, I am going to back through the material that came with the RAV4 if for no other reason than to find where I went wrong.

Thanks again.

back to the question, the answer is maybe, how many miles? sorry if I missed it, that was 4 pages ago, never mind how the carbon gets there. it happens, why is a differt thread. the fact is it causes hesitations, poor idle, sticking throttle and should be cleaned, the injectors are a harder read, some injectors do suffer from a reduced spray pattern that can cause a variety of symtems, cleaning the injectors is better maintence, than repair. I would not due this more than 100000 miles, as far as pour in products, they are not strong enough to do much as this would cause problems with the tank coatings, and rubber hose. so if you like to head off problems for a $100 go for it . if you like to wait untill there is a problem. replace the injectors. this will also be more of a problem if you use poor or contamitated fuel. next was this a machine operation or a can screwed on the rail cleaning, have seen the can system break loose dirt in the rail and plug the injectors, verses the machine flows the rail back into the filter in the machine

A friend of mine had a business cleaning Chevy injectors on a machine. Apparently clogging was a big problem for GM. As he explained it they were pressure opened not the electric solenoids I'm used to on my Hondas, Toyotas and Mitsubishi products. Never had issue one with them and don't use cleaners. Thought I had a problem with an F-150 once so I replaced an injector. Turned out to be a burned valve.
