Brake Controller,
Hello out there I have a 2007 Rav4 V6. Has anyone installed a brake controller? If so what I could use is a little feedback on the installation. I would like to know where to grab wires from, best place to mount and brand name. I will be towing a tent trailer. Thank you

There's lots of good information in the post from RTexasF. The Tekonsha P2 or P3 contoller is among the best. You may wish to consider adding a 10 Guage wire for a trailer battery charging line while you install your brake controller. I had done this on my Highlander and found that it is a great help to be able to charge your battery while in transit. There is a wealth of information on trailer wiring and all things related to pop up campers on the pop up explorer website.
Good luck and happy camping! |
