I just got a 2010 Limited which has one thing, other that a slight vibration, that bothers me - when I shut the rear door the tire/tire cover(full cover without vinyl piece in back) makes a fairly pronounced rattle sound.

When we got the car I mentioned it to the sales person and she had a service person come outside to take a look. He really didn't do any examination of it, just bent down and explained how the latch at the bottom works(gee thanks buddy) and that was that.

Later I went out to the lot and found another used Limited and it seem to make basically the same loud vibrating rattle so I then tested a couple base models with the vinyl piece in back and neither had the rattle. I figured it must be that the full hard cover must lack cushioning that the lower models have and that why it's loud.

Got it home and thought I could overlook it but I am still bothered by it. I just can't imagine Toyota shipped Limiteds with that very noticeable rattle. I don't think I hear it when simply riding, just shutting the door. It is not terrible by any means and maybe I'm sensitive to vibrations(previous car was a WAY beyond it's prime 1996 Honda Accord with horrible vibration) but I got it pre-owned certified and was hoping to feel next to no vibration. Everything else worked - audio, weather/radar, etc. It was just the nav screen.

It's happened twice.

We called both Entune and our dealer - no help.

My father gave it to her as a present but and was lovingly maintained with no issues at all, until the engine blew a rod. As my sister cannot get this fixed herself she has been forced to sell.

If someone has a spare engine lying around then this would be a great motor again. Petrol, manual, 4x4. Tyres all around are great, the wheels alone are worth quite a bit. The interior is very clean and the overall appearance is not too bad at all. This would make a great summer vehicle for someone with a little bit of TLC. It has towbar fitted.

There is some service history with it, and those in the know will realise that these do not come around often. Midlands based and looking for around £450
ono. This will obviously need to be towed away.

Was following directions on the forum of an earlier post about fixing the broken/corroded actuators in my 4.3 Removed the door panel, removed the actuator module, opened it, cleaned the motor inside, put it back together and reinstalled it.

Evidently though I didn't put something back together properly because now my door will not open at all :-/

Actuator has been reassembled (evidently I missed putting something back in the right place) and bolted into place. The door is closed. Cables from the interior handle to the actuator module are connected. Rod connecting to the exterior handle is connected and working properly. I can (with the exterior handle or manually with my finger) move the receiving point for the rod to the module, but nothing happens with the latch.

I would like to take a stab at the actuator module getting it right but cannot get my door open. Any ideas? I'm guessing it is either locked and I can't unlock it, or I've jacked up the module somehow to not allow it to function.
