Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I don't come on here very much. So far honestly for all the issues that some folks raise the Rav pulls the trailer great. We purchased a Jayco 17Z hybrid with a 3,500 GVW rating which is at the max for the rav but for at least one season it was no problem at all. Highway up to 100, 110 without any issues and passing. Cross wind was an issue but that will be the case with any trailer and car/truck combo as the hitch is behind the rear wheels. The V6 rav has the power and handles the trailer just fine. Gas mileage goes in the toilet but that is be expected. Put on a tranny cooler for cheap insurance and keep on top of maint and you should be fine. I also used the Toyota hitch as it was much better made and attached at more points to the unibody.
P.S. the spare tire and door are a pain for design when hauling as you can't really get in the back when the trailer is hooked up.
