Don't think it's nos. It would have the jets in the runners, or a single jet before the throttle. It would also have high pressure hose to the jets.
Possibly water injection, but still doesn't look...

Did you check the 10 amp fuse on the red wire? I peaked at the manual.

If the battery passes the "toaster test" (resistance based load test) then I would look for dodgy battery lead terminals leading up to starter, or suspect a bad starter motor/solenoid contact.
