Daniel M. Yu from Quezon City, Philippines, says - "I just bought a new (1999) white RAV4 4-door 4WD automatic. RAV4s available here are completely built-up units from Japan, and come with the following standard equipment: Alpine stereo system with 6-disc CD changer, Toyota Vehicle Security System, and Nippon Denso air conditioner.

I have added the following original Toyota accessories:

Stainless steel side and rear bars
Chrome side mirror cover
RAV4 reflectorized side graphics
Chrome front grill (lattice design)
Chrome headlight and rear light protectors

Roof rack (black and gray combination color)
Center console box
RAV4 spare tire cover
Silver film tint for windows (3M)
Tail pipe stainless steel finisher (non-Toyota)

I'm looking for a chrome door handle cover/trim, rear backup mirror, and rear spoiler to complete my external accessories. I also have on order a rear cargo net and a rear luggage compartment cover (so its contents cannot be seen from the outside).

I also own a Honda CR-V, and although it is more spacious and has a softer ride, I find the RAV4 more responsive and fun to drive. A RAV4 can be "dressed-up" with external accessories to make it more sporty and fun to look at (which I cannot do with my CR-V because of its more conservative lines and appearance). My friends have more praises for my RAV4 than the CR-V."
