Comments: Here is my classic 1997 RAV4L.
Most RAV4 readers know the 1997 won a ‘Car of the Year’
Award. The color is Sequoia Green, but at night it is a teal color. Undercoating is metal flake. The
Cladding is gray. I removed the decals. This version has all upgrades, except for ABS and Sunroof.
The interior has sheepskin seating to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I got this
Version in 1999 and have been driving it everywhere. It has aluminum alloy rims from southern
USA. It has standard Dunlop tires 215/60/16. Mostly stock equipment. I have only done four
upgrades. I added the 1998 cup holder to the front display. 2nd, I added a 2K stereo system from
an Ebay auction. 3rd, I added the window deflectors to cut the window noise. I am able to keep the
windows open slightly on hot days, without anyone noticing they are open. 4th, dark windows. The
film for the windows cuts 70% of the sun rays, keeping the RAV4 cool in Southern California
weather. The DrawTite trailer hitch was added at time of purchase.
