Comments: "This is my second MK2 RAV4 which I've owned for just 12 months. I use the car for towing hence a diesel, which it does very competently. The car always gets attention where ever it goes especially on the continent. I enjoy driving my black shinny toy very much and wouldn't change it. (Except for another RAV of course)." "My caravan (camp trailer) weighs approx. 1150KG. I thought my petrol VVTi RAV4 was pretty good at towing but the diesel version is much better. The RAV4 pulls the caravan easily and will travel at 60 mph all day and returns about 26 mpg when towing which is very good. The bike rack is made by Thule and was very expensive at £220. You cannot carry bikes on the back of a RAV4 if you want to tow."
