RAV4 Crushed by tree in Maine!

The Latest: VA says patient care not impacted by outage - ABC News

A large tree is down on top of a car on Mellen Street, in Portland, Maine, Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, after early morning storm with high winds. Central Maine Power, the state's largest utility, said its 391,000 outages surpasses its peak of 345,000 homes and businesses without power during the ice storm of 1998. (Michele McDonald/Portland Press Herald via AP):

I'd say that insurance will total it . . . . good that apparently no one was in the RAV4 at the time.

Fellow Mainah here, deah. I was so scared the exact same thing was going to happen to me in that storm. Best of luck finding another gen3 Rav., the best car in the world (short of the 4Runner)!

My 2010 RAV4 was totaled in that last, horrible, blizzard last winter. I was so lucky for find a _great_ replacement in NH, from a private seller, on Craigslist. Look around -- you may get lucky too!

RAV owners ain't afraid of no stinkin' trees...or Dodge RAM 1500s

Dear JuneBug, Blogson, Dr. Dyno, akohler, et.al.,

We won't be driving our RAV to Maine this summah. It was a great cah for Maine. Take a look at these photos. I posted them in 4.3 "General" and describe our encounter with a RAM 1500. Maybe not as bad as that tree, but still wicked awful.

Best,
mlrav
