My thoughts exactly...how do we even know it is a Toyota, let alone a possible 2019 RAV4?

I suspect it is a Rav4, the grill shape looks just like a Tacoma....unfortunately, which would be in line with the comments of the author about it being more truck like, I'm not keen on the looks of the Tacoma grill. It does make sense they would make the Rav4 more truck like if Toyota makes the 2019 Prius V as told in the spy photo article.

I build Rav4s here in Canada. I've seen a few of the 2019 vehicle bodies (covered by a sheet/tarp) and quite a few individual parts. Going by what I've seen at work I can honestly say this is a 2019 Rav4. Or something that looks very very similar. The rear window covering is misleading and hides a rear spoiler. The rear hatch is more angled and the wheel fenders are definitely squared off like that for sure

Not even the C-HR is available in the 1.2L turbo diesel here in the US.

It looks like the Toyota RAV4 2019 is following rough design lines of it’s more expensive, and luxury Lexus RX brother.
Personally I hope that the RAV4 2019 is brought back towards it’s original Off-Road/Jeep design, and that the SUV looks of the last years will be left.

Ps.
Always had the idea that the designer of the Toyota RAV4.3 is a huge Battle Star Galactica fan. Looking to it’s front, it looks a lot like a classic Cylon warroir.

Let's hope it gets the 2.5l with the 8 speed.

Has anyone heard anything about when the official reveal will be for the Rav4?

I'm guessing May. Can't say much more than that. Full production in Nov.
