Dunno how different 2019's is from the "old" 360 camera but...

Huh, that is pretty interesting. Not sure it would be worth the package price but its more than just a basic view. Interesting what all they did with a few cameras.

A 360 camera is useful for those of us who live and work in cities and park on the street. If you live and work in suburbia there is little use for one. I would love to get one but if purchasing the top trim is required (and adding a package too) like the current version, I'll live without it.

I like it a lot. I just drove my wife's 2015 rav4 about 500 miles today to get some of my daughters stuff from her dorm with the school year coming to a close. The engine is awesome. I drive a 2016 camry se and has the same engine and this 2.5 is awesome. It has power and gets great gas mileage. We are planning on owning these cars for a long time. Will probably hand down to my daughter. Really like the looks of that new rav4. Our rav4 and camry have been rock solid. Nothing but oil changes and tire rotations. We are pretty happy.

Will there be a plug-in version? Seems like every brand has them now.

I got a Volvo S90 plug-in for a week as a loaner, it was really addictive to run on just electricity for trips less than 25-30 miles roundtrip

This is my biggest beef, and may be the dealkiller for me.

From the posted pictures it looks like it has the same mapping software that my '11 does. It requires you to purchase map updates at ridiculous prices, and is only updated yearly. I installed a pioneer double din with GPS and Android Auto. I get the map updates for the Pioneer for free, but most of the time just rely on Google Maps or Waze, which, of course, never need updating and provide lots more functionality. Unfortunately it doesn't look like the system in the '19 is swappable with an aftermarket option to incorporate Android.

With two major Smartphone ecosystems out there it is mind boggling that they would only support one.

I love the look of the new car, and the gee-whiz gizmos look great, but the infotainment might kill it for me.

2019 Lunar Rock XLE Prem, 2011 Black V6 Limited 2WD, 2002 Rav4 L and a 2017 RAV4 XLE. We are now a 4 RAV4 family.

There's no official documentation until the brochures are available, but everything I've read indicate the hybrid Limited trim will have available (optional) ventilated front seats.

I am looking forward to the towing package since it got a more powerful engine upgrade. The 2017 hybrid limited is rated to tow 1750 lbs in the US and 3600 lbs in Europe. It be nice if Toyota would be able to put in the manual that it is 3600 lbs of towing capability in the US as well. Someone let me know when the 2019 towing specs come out. Thanks

It's not a bad-looking vehicle at all. I wish they hadn't done the "floating roof" thing on the rear pillar, but otherwise it looks good. The interior looks pretty nice except for one thing: why are all the Japanese manufacturers making a nice dashboard and then plunking a tablet on top for the display? The Camry is the same way, as is the next Nissan Altima. I thought the current Malibu's dash made the screen look like an afterthought, but these newer cars are even worse, to me. I much prefer the way they built the screen into the dash on my wife's '16 RAV4 hybrid.
