JohnandCrystal's Adventure Adventure!!

We're going to get married in August and road trip it to Alaska and beyond for our honeymoon adventure!!

This is Crystal's 2018 Adventure.

We are putting a 2" lift from Ready Lift so we can fit some 245/65/17 A/T tires on new 17x8 Black Rhino Boxer rims...

We have a big Go Rhino 60" roof rack to put on too.... we will add a 20" light bar with two squares on the corners of the roof rack.

We may get a skid plate/bull bar combo or maybe just the skid plate...

We have the replacement exhaust pipe from Lachute Performance to install, getting rid of that scary low-hanging oem pipe.

The plan is to leave home here in Florida and avoid interstates through the US, cross the border in N Dakota and make our way to the Alaska Hwy. We plan to camp a lot. We will drive some of the amazing dirt "highways" up in Alaska, Yukon, and NWT, many of which I have ridden on a dual sport motorcycle trip years ago.

The lift and tires go on this weekend, so stay tuned for some pics as we build up for this epic Adventure!!

John

Awesome!

Glad to see another lifted build. You have made some excellent choices in terms of parts. Keep us posted!

Congratulations.

Everything looks promising!

You will like the Readylift kit. I have had mine on since December. The nice thing is that because it's just spacers, the ride quality is still nice.

Look forward to the progress.

Nice choice on the wheels and tires. I look forward to seeing it completed. It's nice to see there are more people lifting their Rav's. I'm hoping more companies will see a demand in the market and start producing more suspension performance parts for the Rav. There seems to be very few options out there. I've been looking for a good Shock/Strut to pair with my lift.

Got the lift, wheels, and the higher clearance pipe installed.

It rides really nice. To me it looks like the Adventure model should look....

On the way home from the shop, the check engine light and some other warnings came up.
I took it back and they put the code scanner on and it was all from the exhaust pipe. Exhaust catalyst insufficient I think it said. He deleted that code and all is well since.

I'll put the basket on soon and get the light bars wired up.

Stay tuned.......

Looks great! I agree the adventure trims should come with beefier tires at minimum. The painted rims with regular allseasons is a joke. Can't wait to see where this takes y'all
