horn beeps every time I start engine ( push to start )

Every time I start my car, the horn sounds a few quick beeps.

model: 2017 SE
It has a push-button start.
Is this a feature that can be turned off?
It spooks people in the parking lot.

I appreciate the help.

Are you holding the button down too long? A quick push is all it takes, like turning on a computer.

Help RAV4World members help you by providing your car's operating location in your profile page. Climate can cause a RAV4 in Dallas Wisconsin to experience a different set of issues when compared to the same model in Dallas Texas.

That's quite bizarre... do you have an alarm or remote start installed by any chance? That could be the culprit.

Curious, would you be willing to post a vid of it happening? I'm also wondering if you have a short, so when the starter engages, it's tripping the horn

Do you have a moor roof ? Could be a bad sensor not telling the car it's closed.

Are any of the warning lights on the instrument panel illuminated or blinking when/after this happens? Like maintenance required warning or MIL(check engine)?

OK I will see if I can get a video of it this weekend. It could be a short, but it's exactly the same each time, almost like it was designed.

Are you holding your foot firmly on the brake? Is the door completely closed?

Is there any aftermarket equipment installed? Things like an alarm system, remote start, or trailer wiring harness?

Nothing that I know of. I bought it from Carvana, no aftermarket equipment was listed.
