Meep, meep . . . Whaaaaa?

After selling my 1st Gen 2door I've bought a 2013 and I love it . . . Except.
Who thought the high pitched "Meep-Meep" horn was a good idea? About the only thing I would change.

Any advice on wiring in other Toyota units like a 400/500mhz unit from a land cruiser 200?

I bought the FIAMM EL GRANDE a few months ago but had not had the chance to install them. I cannot guarantee it will fit a 2013 though.

I went home and changed my horns!
However, I am not sure if it's just me but these horns don't seem much louder than the one on the RAV The FIAMM El Grande definitely have a different tone
On Amazon.com, people seem to think it is much louder.

The The FIAMM El Grande horns should fit any vehicle. There is a bolt in the middle to screw to the bracket and the wiring is just a simple push-type connector. At the most you might run in some clearance issues, I just bent the brackets slightly with my hands so that the horn would not rub against the grill. One of the simplest mods ever, compared to the other mods I have done.

Thank you, Vanib. Was anxious about modding a vehicle I just acquired but the Orem is just so awful. Debating between PIAA 85110 115db 400HZ + 500HZ Sports Horn and the FIAMM El Grande's. YouTube clips vary greatly in tone preview.

i had my doubt, but after listening to the el grande, and comparing the sound to the piaa 85110, the verdict is: get the el grande.
don't be foolish! i thought the piaa 85110 would beat the fiamm because it was more expensive. But i was shocked! it doesn't even compare to the fiamm. the fiamm el grande beats it hands down! get it and save money

Or if you want to scare sh!t out of people, do what Jaspher says... which can be dangerous if used foolishly.
