Blower motor not moving any air

Hello everyone!

I have a 2013 rav4 limited, and intermittently the blower will not be moving air. Let me specify....

Whenever I go to adjust the fan speed for heat or AC, I can always hear the blower motor react accordingly. In other words, when I put the fan on high, I can hear the blower working on high, when I put it on low, the blower gets quieter and I can hear it on low, here is my problem.....

Sometimes, not all of the time, I can’t FEEL any air coming out of any of my vents even though I CAN hear the blower motor running. I thought maybe the cabin air filter was clogged but I replaced that and this still happens probably once a week... I am wondering if it would be a resistor or what that is causing no air to be coming out of the vents at times when I can hear the blower running just fine it seems.

Thank you for your help!

Sounds like the air mixing doors (or whatever Toyota calls them) and not opening/closing to direct the blower's air out to the various vents. Since your system is computer controlled, I think a trip to the dealer might be needed to resolve this issue.

They are called blend doors. Generally not an easy fix.
