Angry Well, crap

Some knucklehead decided he or she should open their door into the side of my wives new Rav4,Sky Silver metallic. Not too sure if the insurance will cover it,if so I highly doubt it meets deductible. I wish people would be more careful and considerate in this world...

Too many boneheads who have little or no regard for others and their vehicles. Hope that insurance will cover your damage, but of course that depends upon insurance and deductibles. Your experience is why I always park out in the parking lot boondocks but my wife prefers to park in vulnerable areas because of convenience.

Best advice was given by Blogson, being careful where you park makes a big difference, I'll walk as far as I have to in order to have a relative safe spot away from the morons, end spots as close the to side curb as possible to give space on the vulnerable side.

I am trying to teach my daughter this theory, especially when she borrows the Rav!

I am very sorry for you. And I like the silver paint too. I had the dealer install the side protective moldings. I was afraid of the same thing happening. Perhaps where the damage is it would not have helped anyway?

Itís more towards the rear fender, above the fender well. Must have been a truck or larger SUV judging by the height of the damage

I feel your pain. At work we have a lot with narrow spots and rows. I parked as nicely as I could, and came out to a fist-sized dent at the level of my door handle, right under the mirror on the driver door. Kicker: itís right across that body crease character line, so no matter how careful I tap it out, Iíll never get it straight, only a new door or skin will fix it

And a nice stripe of 1997 Dodge Dakota blue paint as a further reminder (on my white RAV). I know who did it but canít prove it, so Iím left fixing it myself.

On the rear quarter panel like yours is a tough one. Hope you can get it fixed easily.

I had some douche whack my car at work as well. Thankfully the molding caught it and it'll buff out. I wish these people the itch of a thousand ants.
