The top cap of yours is aluminum - THAT you reuse. The canister is what you replace.


Also, only an idiot would add a second o-ring rather than replacing it. There is a very clear spot for one o-ring, otherwise it would leak. In fact, they may have just positioned it wrong on yours. Despite a very detailed diagram on the filter box.....

We took it back into the dealer who confirmed the issue and rectified it in about 30 minutes. The service manager said sometimes they just take off the whole housing without pulling the drain plug and he suspected that was the issue. No leaks so far! Now, to refresh the brakes tomorrow....
