I recieved my Draw-Tite hitch today that I ordered from UHaul. The price was cheaper than I expected. They only charged me CAD $179.95 and no shipping fees and no tax. On thier website the price is listed as $179.95 in both USD & CAD, so that must be a problem with thier website.

I'm disapointed by the quality of the paint. There seems to be paint missing in several areas. There also doesn't seem to be a primer coat. I think it'll rust in no time so I'm not going to mount it as is. I'll have to re-paint it before mounting it.

That's sucks, so much for "powder coating" and "e-coat"!

See link. They say draw Tite won’t interfere with kick feature. I’ve yet to see pictures of it installed. I’m hoping it looks as clean and good as the EcoHitch. Anyone have any pictures of the drawtite they can share?

I have been told by one dealership that putting on an aftermarket trailer hitch will void the warranty. Another dealship looked at installing an aftermarket one for me. Does anyone know What happens to your warranty if you put on an aftermarket trailer hitch?

It's just a dealer ploy to sell you the $500 OEM hitch, many Toyota dealers install aftermarket parts, the only time it can affect warranty is if the part or it's installation affects a warranted part causing failure/damage etc, do some research on the subject.

Same for any aftermarket "mod". It has to be clear that the "mod" caused the failure. The "mod" alone will not void the warranty.

We install tons of Curt hitches at our dealership. No warranty issues. The OEM ones when available for that vehicle are much nicer, more concealed, and allot more money. There are some Draw Tite and Curt hitches that are pretty well concealed but I do like those Eco hitches allot. Pet peeve and huge irritant for me is looking at some ugly rusty hitch hanging below a bumper. Nothing like spending 50K on a Limited AWD Sienna and hanging some ugly hitch on it. We do it all the time.

Also whatever ecoat or what have you Curt, Draw Tite, Uhaul use is utter garbage. Hitches are rusting before the car leaves the lot LOL. Spray it with rubber undercoating before install perhaps or sandblast it and paint it with POR15. That stuff is awesome and refused to rust on the last hitch I did.

Do you know if the OEM hitch will work with the hands-free tailgate function on the Limited trim?
