Perhaps I'm slow in the head..........what's an LED pod and why would it be in the lower corners of the windshield? What's the purpose of this anyway?

I believe he means the quad led sqaures often bolted to the side mirrors of off-road jeeps and trucks

Same here. I have no idea what this is all about.

Help RAV4World members help you by providing your car's operating location in your profile page. Climate can cause a RAV4 in Dallas Wisconsin to experience a different set of issues when compared to the same model in Dallas Texas.

Here they are on a Tacoma, FJ, and Tundra. I think they're cool and would add some meanness to our Rav. The mounts is where I'm not sure.

Check out this site. They already have the LED light pod brackets and more.
I just bought a new 2019 rav4. But I posted a picture of some LED pods mounted uaing hood brackets off my 2017 tacoma for reference.

Just FYI

Lights mounted in this location is well outside of DOT specifications (easily recognizable by law enforcement) and are designated "For Off-Road Use Only". Also, you will get considerable glare off of the hood with this set-up. - Just my $0.02
