2019 RAV4 Limited Map lights

Does anyone know how access the map light bulbs? I can't seem to get the covers to pry off, they really don't feel/look like they are supposed to..

Edit: Figured it out, bulb access is on top, just have to remove the whole assembly. Just pull down on it, it has 4 circular tabs on the back and front that hold it in place with one notch in front towards the windshield, I'd pull on the back towards the rear of the vehicle first.

Where did you get your LED bulbs from (amazon/ebay)?

For the dome light in the middle of the car...what size of the bulb?

Thanks

I use Diode Dynamics for all my LED's, they make a great product. The dome light bulb measures 30.5 MM, so I ordered a 31mm dual ended bulb.

Foot lights, vanity lights, map lights are all 194 LEDS

Just noticed the Reverse lights today, those are 921's, will be ordering a set of those today as well.

Keep us posted and take pics, please. I'm interested in doing this when we get ours.

Would definitely like to see a step by step guide to accessing the map lights, rear dome, and trunk light

I just saw a YouTube video of the last gen Rav4 of a complete conversation to LED and it looks very easy! It was the map lights, vanity mirror lights, dome light, cargo light, reverse lights, and license plate lights. If the 4.5 gen is as simple it could be done in no time with great results. I know dealers charge hundreds for the same thing.

I wonder what the difficulty level is for swapping the fog lights with LED, since they are so low to the ground.

I know there will be YouTube videos popping up in the coming months. It's just a matter of time.

The 4.5 map lights are in an overhead console that must be removed to access the bulb sockets, totally different than the 4.4, it doesn't come out easy, requires a lot of effort. Here's a video that's shows a similar console on an older Camry, I'm sure the tool he used helps a lot.

Thanks for the heads up! That increases the difficulty quite a bit. That plastic tool will definitely come in handy for not damaging the surrounding area. I've dabled in removing interior components before and it helps if you already know what's behind what you're removing. Leverage and angle of approach also helps a lot. So hopefully a video or photos are released.
