Glad ya got it fixed, another good reason to get Techstream and a cable interface for a laptop.

Besides something like this, what could we use Techstream for? This is the first I've heard of it.

Customization, TPMS changes and registering, same things Toyota service dept does, Carista could do the customization on the previous gens, but it doesn't offer anywhere near the custom options for the '19, and they don't plan on making any updates anytime soon, I sent them an upload of my system in Dec, but they said it would be a while before they updated the app. See Mods to Rav4 in 4.5 General.

This is good news I think.
Can you explain a little more? How does the dealer 'program' the seat? it's not like the seat has a computer in it? So do we ask our local dealer to 'program the car'?
Is there a delivery instruction from Toyota, On Limited edition cars, please enter code 555YY into the widget? Shouldn't the car already come 'programmed' rather than have dealers programming it? I thought dealer prep was cleaning it up and going through a checklist (like fluids, pressure, remove tags, etc).
As from above posts, at least 3 dealers have been stumped by this problem.

Programming is done with Techstream software on a laptop, it makes changes to vehicle programming and customization, I had to wait 2 hours for mine to be programmed because it was the first '19 Rav4 the service dept prepped and it wasn't the same as the '18.

I thought Techstream was a 3rd party software, not Toyota product? Does this mean some service departments aren't as good as the one you bought from?

The service advisor's exact words were that they "forgot to program it". I didn't get into the technical details with him.

Techstream is Toyota's, Techstream that is sold on Amazon and ebay are cloned software and interfaces.

We got our RAV4 fixed today, but it took 4 hours, walk in, no appointment. First they felt they had to troubleshoot the problem (after we explained it wasn't programmed by the dealer). "hard reset of battery, 30 minutes" , no effect, remove door panel, test switches, 14 ohms, 01, etc.. . finally did programming and that fixed it. Works fine now, thanks for advice.
