Clanking sound?

After turning off my 2019 Rav4 Adventure in the garage. I stepped out and heard a clanking sound coming from underneath the RAV4. Is this normal, because I've never heard such a thing from any other car I've owned.

Same over here with a XSE hybrid AWD-i. Sounds like a valve closing...

Never heard that.

Only thing close is the metallic pings/pops from the exhaust (or engine? ) parts cooling down.

I have the valve closing sound as well on my gas adventure. It seems to be when I first open the drivers door after shutting off the engine.

I could be sitting in the car for a few minutes after shutting off the car and even then the valve closing noise when opening the door. Couldn't figure it out.

.....The electronic parking brake makes kind of a valve noise when engaging/disengaging but I know its not that. I learned that noise and its very faint.

The noise you are hearing is the auto emergency brake being applied.

The EPB (electric parking brake) sound normally happens when you put the vehicle in park or move it out of park, the sound isn't a clank on mine, it's an electric motor sound coming from the parking brake actuator.

Absolute not! I'm driving with these hybrids a long time already, and the brake sound is completely different from that new sound. I can't describe it otherwise than a kind of metal shutting sound like a valve or so.

On my Limited, when I open the door (even after sitting in the car for awhile), there is a motor sound from under the dash, which I believe is the steering wheel locking mechanism. However, it's not a clanking sound.
