Question Wheels Rav4 2018 vs 2019

Would like to know if the wheel specs for the Rav4 2019 are the EXACT same as of that of the Rav4 2018 ? Toyota dealer wants to sell me the part number of the wheels of the 2018 ; he says that the PN of the 2019 is not out yet and that the 2018 will fit perfectly and is the same.

I'm not sure what time you're talking about, but someone on this forum said he had the dealer swap the 2019 XLE wheels with 2018 XLE wheels because they looked much better (they do). He posted pictures of the swap, but I don't recall which thread it was.

2018 17" rim has +39mm offset

2019 17" has +35mm offset.

they are essentially identical and you will not be able to see any difference. I switch from 17" LE steel rims to 17" 2019 XLE rims. They look and work great.

Funny, I asked my sales guy at Toyota about switching out my 19 XLE rims for 18 XLE rims. He said because the offset is not the same and the wheel is not an option from the factory, that changing out the wheels to 18 XLE wheels would void the warranty.

I like to stick to the original specs, that's just me. Thanks for the post.

Question

Where did you get those specs, I tried finding without success. Thanks.

The sales guy has no clue what he/she is talking about. The offset difference of +4mm has no impact. The 2019 factory steel rims are at +39mm and 2019 factory alloy rims are at +35mm.

The offsets are printed on the back of the rim. 2018 17" rim will have 39 stamped and 2019 17" rim will have 35 stamped on.
