Off-road tire

Looking to know what other RAV4 owners have used for off road tires in stock size preferably. I worry about sidewall damage and want the best tire.

What sort of off roading are you planning on doing?

Many like the BF Goodrich A/T T/A KO2 - SIZE: LT215/70R16 and in the larger size that will fit without a problem 225/70-16.

The Yokohama Geolander A/T-S 225/70R17XL 108T BSW Tires would also be a good All Terrain choice.

Do you want a pure off-road tire? There are few choices if any in sizes that would fit a stock RAV4, in fact I couldn't find any at all.

You can take a look at a size chart I put together to help choose what sizes work. https://www.rav4world.com/forums/94-4...you-had-2.html

Let us know what you decide on.

Planned on driving un-maintained trails/roads that have sharp rocks possible. I am looking for stock size with best sidewall protection. I have Cut up Michelin ltx defender easily. My RAV4 is automatic at stock height. Considering the bfg at ko2 as there isn't much in stock sizes. Tough to find real tire specs online due to all the marketing hype

I personally ran the BFG K02 for 3 years with very good results. The sidewalls are 3 ply... they are robust tires, I loved them!

Check tire specs at tirerack.com, they don't have all the brands but they have a pretty good selection and pretty much any spec you could want on a tire.

I have the older BFG AT KOs in 225/70x16 on mine. They have 5 ply sidewalls. The KO2s say the sidewall is 20% stronger than the KO.

I've got the BFG KO's on my Lifted 2dr , 225/70/R16. They fit with no rubbing at all.

Does anyone know if a 0 offset wheel will stick out too much from the fenders? It's for 1998 Rav 4
