Installing a rear view camera on my '02 Rav4

Did anyone had this install done? I need advise on where and how to install the rear view camera on my wife's 02 Rav4. I just changed the head unit for a new Android system and rear view camera would be a nice addon. The problem is that there is not much of a good spot to place the camera. The spare tire obstructs the view in the middle so installing around the license plate would be my only choice. Any help would be appreciated.

I watched a video on an install on a 2010 RAV4 (I know you have an 02 but I assume the same tactics could be used) and they put the camera in the bumper, directly under the spare tire. Here is he link if you want to check it out.

I mounted a camera inside, up high. I think it was on the rear window trim as close to the glass as I could get to avoid any reflections, but it's not nearby for me to check to be sure. Wires run down the hinge side of the trim, go through the grommet with the other wires, then along the right side trim toward the bottom to the dash.

Mounting it inside avoids water/dirt disturbing the view, since you can just use the rear wiper.

Sounds good, do you happen to have tinted windows. I would love to put a camera in mine the way yours is set up but the rear windows came tinted from the dealership.

Good idea, but how is the glare, the reflection from the window?
